Grief Support Groups
Don’t Go Through Your Experience of Grief and Bereavement Alone.
People experience and react to grief and bereavement in many different ways. Sometimes, it feels good to spend some time alone.
But other times, it is really helpful to have a group of people who, just like you, have also experienced similar circumstances. You can skip past all the explanations and get straight into discussing the things that weigh most heavily on your heart.
Anyone is welcome to join our free Grief Support Groups.
At this time, meetings are hosted virtually on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 3 PM on a drop-in basis. For more information, or to be added to the group, please reach out to us at (541) 469-0405 or via our contact form here.
How Grief Support Groups Can Help You, Your Family Members, and Your Friends
As family and friends navigate the realities of caregiving for an ailing patient, grief support groups can provide invaluable help. Grief support groups are a safe place where you can express your experiences, fears, and challenges without judgment; offering both practical advice and emotional comfort at this difficult time.
Our community can help you handle the day-to-day challenges of caregiving, such as learning strategies for self-care when you are giving so much of yourself, learning how you can provide all forms of comfort and support for your loved one, or even just having a place to vent because sometimes caregiving can be a lot!
And after your loved one has passed, we will be here for you as you walk your path of mourning and healing after loss, offering a structured environment where you can grieve in an organized fashion while learning to adjust to the loss as you move forward with your life. The support you find here can help you find comfort, a renewed sense of hope and meaning, and peace.
It is always better to walk through tough places in life with a trusted friend, and we are here to help.
