Caregiver Support Group
Caregiving is tough work! Sometimes you just need a little support from people who understand.
Hosted by Coastal Home Health & Hospice, the Caregiver Support Group meets on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month.
This group is open to all caregivers, and offers a safe space to discuss the stresses, challenges, and rewards of caregiving. It provides an opportunity to share your feelings, develop friendships, receive emotional support, and discuss solutions to common caregiving issues.
Anyone is welcome to join!
When: The second Tuesday of every month from 3-4 P.M.
Where: The Coastal Community Room, 585 5th Street, Brookings, OR 97415

How Grief Support Groups Can Help You, Your Family Members, and Your Friends
As family and friends navigate the realities of caregiving for an ailing patient, grief support groups can provide invaluable help. Grief support groups are a safe place where you can express your experiences, fears, and challenges without judgment; offering both practical advice and emotional comfort at this difficult time.
Our community can help you handle the day-to-day challenges of caregiving, such as learning strategies for self-care when you are giving so much of yourself, learning how you can provide all forms of comfort and support for your loved one, or even just having a place to vent because sometimes caregiving can be a lot!
And after your loved one has passed, we will be here for you as you walk your path of mourning and healing after loss, offering a structured environment where you can grieve in an organized fashion while learning to adjust to the loss as you move forward with your life. The support you find here can help you find comfort, a renewed sense of hope and meaning, and peace.
It is always better to walk through tough places in life with a trusted friend, and we are here to help.
